On October 19 the City of Redmond opened the Pump Track at Homestead Park. Excitement filled the air as community officials turned out to kick things off with a ribbon cutting and speech making. Riders of all ages rode the track, checking out its features and experiencing its terrain.
The Redmond Parks Foundation, represented by Richard Lance, thanked the many individuals, businesses and service clubs, who donated more than $55,000 in cash and $20,000 in materials to help build the park.
The Homestead Pump Track represents a $300,000 investment by the City of Redmond to a wonderful new park feature. Kudos to Annie McVay, City of Redmond Parks Manager, Trevor Elson, and many others who made this dream come true.
